Why are record covers always so Goddamn good? Here are a few that I found that I liked a lot.

GOSFORD PARK
I watched Gosford Park today and I am now inspired by their elegance, style and attitude. I want to go back to England, go shooting, wear tweed and fur, read The Times in a leather arm chair, say very little, be very curt and bitchy, get dressed for dinner and smoke copius amounts of cigarettes from my cigarette case.
It also remided me of the movies stars of old like the lovely Ginger Rodgers, and also somewhat perculiarly of the Valentino S/S advert- one of my favourites this season- something about the poise of the models, and their hair I think.

Steffi, who played at Concrete this evening
&
I don't know why but Juergen Teller has suddenly got my attention. Of course, Teller's Marc Jacob adverts are instantly reccognisable as his, as is his other work which seems to similarly combine a sense of drama, pain, anguish, fragility, fear and emptiness with beauty and humour. Before however, this kind of image didn't appealed to me, but I think that something in my mind has changed, and Teller's images now seem perfect; reflecting the dissonance I am feeling in my life right now.
